This helps you aim and tenancy the water and can save many gallons. For largest water conservation, use professional car washes which conserve water with recycling systems.•    Use a broom instead of a hose to wipe patios, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other nonflexible surfaces.  Hosing should only be used when health and safety issues are a concern.•    Consider replacing lawns and thirsty plants with drought-tolerant landscaping.•    Use recirculated water in a fountain or other decorative water feature.Outdoor Water Conservation Rules & Recommendations for Businesses•    Eating and drinking establishments are to provide customers with water only upon request.•    Hand dishwashing requires low-flow spray valves. Hand-held spraying fixtures for dishwashing should be fitted with low-flow spray valves that automatically shut off.•    Make daily towel and linen service optional. Hotels must offer guests the option to help conserve water by having fresh towel and linen service only upon request.•    Fire hydrant use. Use of fire hydrants by construction companies and watering trucks requires permission and a temporary construction water meter from the water utility where the hydrant is located.•    Use recirculated water in a fountain or other decorative water feature.•    Commercial, industrial and institutional properties, such as campuses, golf courses, and cemeteries shall implement water efficiency measures to reduce potable water usage in an value resulting with the reduction target.•    Emptying and refilling a swimming pool should take place only to prevent or repair structural forfeiture or to comply with health regulations.•    Parks and schools shall be watered on unorganized days during the hours between sunset to sunrise.•    TheMunicipalityof Banning strongly encourages Home Owner Associations (HOA) and other enforcement agencies to suspend lawmaking enforcement and fines for brown turf areas and encourage the replacement of turf areas with drought-tolerant landscapingCivil Penalties1. First Violation. For a first violation, theMunicipalityshall issue a written notice of violation to the water user.2. Second Violation. For a second violation, within a twelve-month period, a one-month surcharge of 25 percent of the previous month’s water snout will be imposed.3. Third Violation. For a third violation, within a twelve-month period, a one-month surcharge of 50 percent of the previous month’s water snout will be imposed.4.
